Things to Check Before You Commit to a Work
At Home Offer
So you
want to work at home. Great! You have decided to start a home-based
business. Great! You look on the internet and find many
attractive offers. Wow! How easy is this?
Slow down! Chances are, many of those wonderful offers you find on
the internet make money only the people who are making the offers.
In order to choose wisely -- in order to make an informed decision you
need ALL of the facts, not just headline and a brief overview. Below
is a few of the things you need to do BEFORE you commit to a work at home
offer:
•
Find out how trustworthy the company is. Check out the company with the
Better Business Bureau and, perhaps, the FTC.
• Visit the company's website and read EVERY word, especially guarantees and
legal restrictions.
• Get a brochure or PDF file with more information about the company and
read it carefully.
• Find out whether the company will help you achieve your goals or just sign you up
and sell you some products.
• Research their refund policies. Do they refund your money and how much time do you have?
• Find out whether they require significant start-up costs. If so, how much?
And, is it within your means at this point in time?
• Email and/or call the people making the offer. Do they respond in a
timely manner. If they do, are their answers complete and
satisfactory?
• Search
the internet for complaints and criticisms about the company or their
products. You may find information which suggests that the company
will quit responding to you after the refund period has ended.
When you do your homework by researching and asking questions you will be less
likely to be swept up by exaggerated claims and slick website designs. You
will have armed yourself with the information you need to make an informed decision.
